Music
every day that junko has work, i go with her to Shinjuku, and the plan is that i meet her outside her work 8.5 hours later. now the best way for me to actually be there 8.5 hours later, is to not move from that spot at all.
the next best way is to set out by foot and keep the tallest building in tokyo, the tmg, in sight. that way i can always navigate my way back. i can go further, but it had better be in straight lines.
anyhow, there is a large park under the tmg (you can see a corner of it from the shot taken from floor 45 of the tmg a few posts below) where i have been spending the morning rush hour. the park is populated by pigeons, homeless people and the grounds-keeping crew, who proudly stride as a team to their office shack for their morning rallying pep-talk. they look like a rag-tag astronaut crew, walking to the launch pad.
i enjoy these mornings, and had the chance to write a short musical bit about them while i went from coffee shop to coffee shop to keep out of the rain today.
you can click here to listen to the track, or even download it! i hope you enjoy it.

the second best way is to set out by foot and keep the tallest building in tokyo (the tmg) in eyesight. then i know i can make it back. i can go further, but it had better be in straight lines.
anyhow... there is a fairly large park under the tmg, and i spend the morning rush hour there. the park is populated with pigeons, homeless people, and the grounds-keeping crew, who stride as a team to their office shack to have their morning rallying pep-talk before they get started. they look like a rag-tag astronaut crew walking to the launch pad.
