i think that maybe coffee acts as the symbol of our friendship's history, and serves to constantly unite the group, while opinions and thoughts may differ during the discussion.
we may have completely opposing points of view or opinions, but the context of this disagreement is sitting together enjoying a common unifier.
maybe i'm looking into it too much... but you're right elaine, it does seem that much is discussed over coffee.
